2010 marks J.B. Belzer's 15th season as the head coach of the Regis University women’s soccer team. Hired prior to the 1996 campaign, Belzer is just the second head coach in program history. During his first 14 years with the Rangers, Belzer has amassed an 200-86-16 (.689) overall record.

In his initial season in 1996, Belzer led Regis to a 15-5-3 overall record and proceeded to guide the Rangers to their second appearance at the NCAA II Final Four. In 2001, Belzer guided the Rangers to one of the most successful seasons in program history. In addition to setting a new single-season record for victories (18-1-1 overall), the team finished the season ranked #10 (NCAA II) in the country. RMAC champions four times (’96, ’00, ’01, ’03) the Rangers have participated in five NCAA tournaments in Belzer’s career. Eight Rangers have been named NSCAA All-America and four have earned the prestigious NSCAA Scholar-Athlete All-America recognition.

A native of Edmond, Oklahoma, Belzer attended and played soccer at the University of Tulsa for one season before transferring to Oklahoma State University. While at OSU, Belzer served as the head coach of the boy’s soccer team at Stillwater High School. Upon earning his Bachelor's Degree in Science Education from OSU in 1991, Belzer returned to Edmond Memorial High School, his alma mater, to teach science and coach boy's soccer. During his three years at EMHS, Belzer registered a 33-7-4 overall record and captured the 1994 State Championship.

Belzer, who also served an assistant men's soccer coach at Oklahoma Christian University in 1992, returned to the University of Tulsa in 1994 as a graduate assistant for both the men's and women's programs. In 1997, while coaching at Regis, Belzer completed his MBA (Tulsa).

In addition to having coached a number of girl's club squads, Belzer has also spent time with several boy's and girl's Olympic Development Program (ODP) teams. From 1998 to 2001, Belzer served as the Chair on the NCAA II Midwest Regional Rankings Committee and was the National Chair in 2001. Belzer holds both an NSCAA Premier Diploma and a US Soccer National "A" License.
